Taster Days
We appreciate that there are lots of people who would love to 'have a go' at painting, drawing or printing, but lack the confidence or facilities to try. Perhaps you feel creative but don't quite know how to start producing your own artworks. Did you enjoy art at school, but somehow never found the time or confidence to carry on? Or perhaps you would love to help your children be creative, and enjoy producing art together?
Why not try one of our Art Taster days?
The standard Art Taster Day is designed for over adults and older teenagers (over sixteen years). During the day you will use a variety of techniques and media to produce several pieces os artwork to take home with you. Try printing using our professional etching press. Sympathetic and encouraging tuition will help you bring your ideas to life. You will learn techniques to enable you to carry on with your art at home.Small group sizes ensure plenty of individual attention. We supply all the professional standard materials used during the day.
Our new Family Art Taster Days allow you and your child to have fun together, drawing, painting and printing. Play with colour and let your imagination run riot! You can make as much mess as you like and we'll clear up! Children should be aged ten and over, and muct be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We can also arrange Taster Days in a single medium - Watercolour, Oils, Mixed Media, Drawing and Printing. These are an ideal introduction into the particular media and give you a sound introduction to the materials and techniques required. Please give us a call to discuss what YOU want!
For all Taster Days the daily timetable is the same.
The Studio is open at 09.30 and the course starts at 10.00. Free tea and coffee throughout the day. A home-cooked lunch is included on the Art Taster Day. Please bring a packed lunch with you for the Family Day. Course activity ends at 16.00 with an over view of the day’s activity and progress.
