Welcome to Studio Llwyndrain

Situated in the heart of the beautiful Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK, Studio Llwyndrain is a professional artist's studio offering Art Taster Days, painting workshops, art courses and painting summer schools. Our watercolour painting courses can be tailored for beginners, as can those in mixed media and oil painting, drawing or print-making. For the more experienced artist, this stunning and inspiring National Park location offers opportunities for outdoor work. We offer weekly art classes, 'Art Taster Days', one day art workshops, short courses, summer schools, and bespoke courses. Why not join us for an art holiday? We can arrange tuition to suit you. Our experienced, sympathetic tuition will inspire, encourage and motivate you. Painting tuition is offered in Watercolour, Mixed Media and Oils. Our Drawing courses include pastels, pen and ink, and charcoal. Printmaking involves mono printing and intaglio/collograph printing. A maximum group size of six ensures you will get lots of individual attention. We use odour free solvents for all our oil painting courses ensuring your comfort in the studio.

Now in our third year of running art courses, we have been featured in the Sunday Times and appeared on S4C's Wedi 3 programme. Bookings from Taiwan, Indonesia and Australia along with those from around the UK have bought couples, families and individuals, male and female, to this beautiful part of Wales to develop their artistic abilities. Our clients ages have ranged from 84 to 4, from complete beginners to accomplished artists who are looking to extend their range, and teachers looking to gain new skills to use in the classroom.

The studio is a big, white, well-lit, space equipped to the highest standards with professional artists' materials and equipment. We have easy access to a variety of stunning locations, including the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast, for outdoor work. There is a well equipped reference library for our students' use. The studio is also available for hire to visiting tutors, groups and individuals.

As featured in the 'Sunday Times' in March 2011, our Art Taster days are a great way for beginners and aspiring artists to spend a day exploring different media and producing work to take home. Price £60 per day including materials, lunch and refreshments, and you can add more days if you wish - two days £115, three days £175. Discounts for group bookings.

Family Art Days are a wonderful way to spend time being creative with your kids, and we clear up all the mess! Designed to cover activities you can do at home with easily available and inexpensive materials. £60 parent and child, £100 family of four, including all materials.
